When I launched Suji, the pitch was simple: “managed OpenClaw hosting.” You wanted a multi-channel agent runner, we’d give you a VM with OpenClaw on it, snapshots, SSL, and a dashboard. Done.
It worked. But every other week someone asked the same question:
“Can I run [Ghost / n8n / Plausible / NocoDB / Outline] on my Suji VM too?”
And the answer was always “no, you’d need to SSH in and add it yourself.” Which defeats the point.
So we changed the product. As of today, Suji is a cloud platform with a built-in app marketplace.
What that means:
- You still get a dedicated VPS. Still EU-hosted, still hourly billed, still snapshot-backed, still yours.
- You install apps onto that VM from a curated catalog — Ghost, n8n, NocoDB, Plausible, Outline, OpenClaw at launch, with more shipping regularly from suji-hq/suji-templates (a public GitHub repo).
- OpenClaw is still a first-class app. It is now one of several Suji-supported templates, not the only product. If you’re an existing OpenClaw user, nothing changes for your running instance.
What stays exactly the same:
- The billing model. Hourly billing, top-up wallet, Hard Cap on new provisioning.
- The cloud underneath. A real VPS you own, web terminal, SSH, manual snapshots, monitoring.
- The data sovereignty story. Every VM still runs in the EU. Your snapshots still stay in EU storage. Nothing moved.
What’s different in the dashboard:
When you create a VM, you now pick one or more apps from the marketplace as part of the create flow. The dashboard shows what’s installed on each VM, lets you add/remove apps, and surfaces per-app health from the same monitoring pane.
Want an app that’s not in the catalog? Open a PR against suji-hq/suji-templates. We review regularly; merged templates ship to every tenant on the next sync.
Why are we doing this?
Self-hosting is good. SSHing into your VPS at 11pm on a Sunday because Let’s Encrypt expired is not. Suji’s job is to be the thing in between — the VM you own, with the convenience of the SaaS you’d have paid for otherwise.
